“The secret of happiness is to count your blessings while others are adding up their troubles.” ~William Penn
I’ve got it bad!
Staring off into space–check!
Lost in the ozone–check!
Sitting outside under Mother Mesquite, reading for hours (when I said I’d just sneak out for 15 minutes!)–check!
Yup–I’ve got it bad! SPRING FEVER!
The only antidote is ENJOYING IT!!! BASKING IN IT!!! CELEBRATING IT!!!
AND going off on an “explore.”
“It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.” Alan Cohen
After all the sorrow and trauma last month of having to release my old, dear 2002 Subaru, I thought I would never have a car I loved so much again–but my Dearest Darling Beloved Albert found this 2015 Honda Fit for me and it’s soooooo cute! We’re packing up my beloved new car–named (surprise, surprise) Ladybug–—and we’re heading out for some FUN!!!
Did I mention FUN???? Check out this yummy box of chocolates Cissie brought me (O Cissie you are so sweet!)–are they the cutest or WHAT???
Sooooooo, this is my suggested medicine for Spring Fever–
get out and enjoy SPRING in your own way–
giggle, play, make mud pies, sniff wildflowers, chase butterflies,
and know that the Mistress of Merriment is out there, somewhere, jumping for joy too!
“Go ahead into life, full-blooded, courageous and leap for the adventure. But you must do it soon—before the summer of your youth has cooled off into caution. You are magnificently charming—and you come like a torrent. But you will be spent on the futility of little things. You are not a watercolor. You are carved out of life—and there can be no petty hesitancies about you.” Ruth Reichl
